Colombian Dance Salsa Festival

The Colombian dance salsa festival is an initiative aimed at rescuing the value and importance of the Colombian style among Bogota dancers and rumberos. Community that for about 6 years have been enriching their knowledge and dance technique with international styles such as Los Angeles, New York, Puerto Rico or Cuban. However, in this process, much of the roots and style that made our country famous has been gradually decimated in dance schools, competitions and social dance.

Festival will open with a night of social dance in which homage will be paid to the great teachers who laid the foundations of what dance schools are today in Bogotá with a select salsa program by two guest DJs.

On Saturday the event will develop a competition agenda at the facilities of the Salesian school in León 13 between 8 in the morning and 6 in the afternoon, with local judges and guests from Cali.

Finally, the festival will reward the champions of the competition and will have a spectacular closing with a live salsa concert in a renowned bar. On this night, with a lot of salsa, we will have the opportunity to see on stage the three champion couples of the cabaret categories, beginner, intermediate and advanced division.
